Duties Operate lorries in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and secure cargo appropriately to prevent damage during transit Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements related to transportation. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or questions from clients. Qualifications Valid commercial driving licence (C+E) with a clean driving record. Proven experience Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in driving. Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Shift patterns: Saturday and Sunday (scope to add more days after you have joined if interested) Rough shift timings are as folllows: 6.30am - 9.30am 3pm - 7.30pm £135 a day pay You will be expected to have fantastic time keeping skills as the whole operation rely's on the driver arriving and delivering on time. You will arrive in the morning to the Prep Unit in Woolwich SE18 and load the van with all food required for the day. Sometimes you will be doing multiple drops in the morning and multiple collections in the afternoon. You will drive to the location specified, usually around 30minutes-1hour drive, here you will be met by another colleague where you will both unload and set up the gazebo and market pitch together. At 9.30am you will leave and return to collect the items again at roughly 3pm. The afternoon shift is the same as the morning but obviously in reverse and you will finish your shift at around 7.30pm at the prep unit in Woolwich SE18.
