TO BE CONSIDERED YOU MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE AS A LADIESWEAR FASHION BUYER OR SENIOR BUYER As a Senior Buyer you will be responsible for developing, sourcing and delivering an on- trend and commercially focused range, whilst driving profit and enhancing the brand position. You will support the Buying Director and Head of Buying in the development and delivery of the Buying Strategy whilst maintaining strong, professional relationships with existing suppliers to ensure consistent quality and service whilst negotiating new supplier agreements to achieve profitable pricing and delivery terms Your key responsibilities will be: • Planning and building a commercially balanced range, whilst achieving margin targets as set by company;, • Drives regular product reviews, ensuring coordination across departments in terms of trends, looks and colour palettes., • Deep understanding of fabrics, garment constructions and the whole buying process with a strong print eye. (More a skill/experience), • Operates an effective and timely product sign off process, in line with the critical path and planning cycle;, • Leading ladieswear in driving trend-led collections with the right level newness/fashion/trend., • Takes responsibility for maximising profit on the department through strong negotiation and development of global supplier relations;, • Trade the department and analyse relevance of new and emerging trends for the brand and plan accordingly., • Works collaboratively with the merchandising team to monitor and control trade, in order to ensure stock turn, margin targets and profit levels are achieved; TO BE CONSIDERED YOU MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE AS A LADIESWEAR FASHION BUYER Candidate skills and experience • Working as a Buyer level in a ladieswear fashion retailer., • Dress buying experience would desired, • Proven track record of developing and trading highly commercial fashion ranges that exceed sales/ profit targets, • Deep understanding of fabrics, garment construction and the whole buying process with a strong print eye., • A passion for trends who excels in delivering trend inspiring fashion to the high street, • Experienced in negotiating with suppliers for a competitive cost and lead times. The Role As a Fashion Buyer, you will blend long-term product vision with day-to-day trading needs, ensuring commercially strong, brand-aligned collections across all channels. Key Responsibilities Develop and deliver collections that balance commercial performance with brand identity. Maintain responsibility for ethical sourcing and compliance with legislation. Own the full buying lifecycle: sourcing, negotiation, order placement, margin delivery. Identify and onboard new suppliers/factories to support growth and enhance margin opportunities. Present trading insights and product updates to senior stakeholders to inform commercial decisions. Support and develop junior team members, fostering accountability, pace, and effective communication. Experience & Skills Required Proven experience in fashion retail buying, ideally within premium or aspirational brands. Strong capability in margin management, supplier negotiation, critical path ownership, and product planning. Confident communicator, able to influence senior stakeholders and collaborate across teams. Strong analytical decision-making and organisational skills, with the ability to work at pace and resilience. Advanced Excel skills and solid experience with PLM systems.
