Company Description Amy Jane London is a romantic British fashion brand, based in Wimbledon. We create ultra-feminine pieces designed to be treasured, celebrating elegance and timeless sophistication through our signature prints and whimsical designs. We are seeking a Fashion Design Intern to join our creative team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a strong passion for fashion design, a clear understanding of design programmes, and a meticulous eye for detail. Role Description The Fashion Design Intern will play an active role in supporting the design team with day-to-day tasks, including assisting in developing design concepts, creating sketches, and assisting with tech packs. Responsibilities also include participating in fittings, maintaining design libraries. This is a full-time role, hybrid role 3/4 days per week on-site role and 1/2 days remote. Office based in the Wimbledon, London. Qualifications • Skills in Fashion Design and Fashion Styling, • Experience with Textiles and Sewing techniques, • Proficiency in Graphic Design tools and technology, • A strong passion for fashion and creativity, • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment, • Knowledge of current trends and emerging fashion markets is a plus Responsibilities • Support the design team in developing seasonal collections, from initial concept through to final design, • Assist with research into trends, colour palettes, fabrics, and trims in line with the brand’s aesthetic, • Create and update mood boards, inspiration decks, and design presentations, • Support with sketching and developing design ideas (hand sketches and/or digital), • Assist in preparing technical drawings and design packs where required, • Organise and maintain fabric, trim, and sample libraries, • Assist in sourcing fabrics and trims in line with the brand’s direction, • Support with fittings by taking notes and tracking design changes, • Help manage sample tracking, ensuring organisation across collections, • Assist with general day-to-day tasks within the design team
