The home is a spacious 5-bedroom property designed to accommodate up to 3 young people aged 8-17 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). Our mission is to provide a safe, therapeutic, and nurturing environment where young people can heal from trauma, stabilise behaviours, and achieve long-term positive outcomes such as transitioning to foster care, independent living, or family reunification. We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and child-centred Registered Manager to lead the home, ensuring high standards of care, staff leadership, and compliance with Ofsted requirements. ⸻ Key Responsibilities Manage the home in line with Ofsted regulations and statutory requirements. Provide vision, leadership, and direction to the care team. Safeguard and promote the welfare of all children in the home. Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and placement stability. Work in partnership with local authorities, social workers, health professionals, and families. Ensure the home operates effectively within budgets and staffing requirements. Develop a trauma-informed, therapeutic culture that supports recovery and resilience. Maintain appropriate occupancy levels (up to 3 children) while prioritising individual needs. Represent the service professionally with Ofsted, commissioners, and external stakeholders. Our award-winning care team has been working in the Surrey area since 1994 to assist clients with personal care, housework, medication, meals and all manner of tasks. As anybody that works in care will tell you - no two days are ever the same! Job Description You'll drive from door-to-door visiting older people at home and assist them with daily tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, personal care and medication administration. You should have: • Kind, caring, people skills, • Passionate about making a difference to older people’s lives, • Available to work between 7am-2pm and/or 4pm-10pm and at least one weekend per month, • A full UK driving licence (car or motorcycle), • Right to live and work in the UK without sponsorship Qualifications Your communication skills will make an older person feel safe and give you the satisfaction that you are providing amazing care while supporting them to stay at home safely and independent. It would be useful to have some experience of working in a care setting or interacting with older people. This could be a personal experience of caring for a family member or a voluntary experience. However, this is not necessary as we offer a superb environment to develop your life skills, provide FULL training from the start, and will support you throughout your career with us.
