We are looking for a charismatic, polished, and welcoming Host to join our front-of-house team as the first point of contact for our guests. The Role As a Host, you are the face of our restaurant. You will create memorable first impressions, manage the flow of the dining room, and ensure every guest feels valued from the moment they walk through the door. Key Responsibilities: • Warmly greet and welcome arriving guests, taking coats and managing reservations., • Manage the door, walk-ins, and floor plan efficiently using our reservation system (e.g., SevenRooms / OpenTable)., • Escort guests to their tables, present menus, and introduce their dedicated server., • Collaborate closely with the floor team and kitchen to maintain a smooth seating rhythm throughout service., • Offer a warm farewell to departing guests, ensuring their experience was exceptional. About You • Experience: Previous host or customer service experience in a fast-paced, high-end restaurant, hotel, or hospitality venue in London., • Communication: Excellent spoken English with a clear, polite, and engaging telephone manner., • Presence: Exceptionally presented, naturally warm, and comfortable handling VIPs and high-profile guests., • Skills: Calm under pressure, highly organized, and a strong team player with great attention to detail. Our story Back in 2019 in Paris, two friends, Charles and Victor, opened a brasserie together - the kind of place Parisians disappear into for a 3 hour lunch. The role As a Host / Hostess, you'll be the first person our guests meet when they arrive at Brasserie Olivia. You'll welcome and seat our guests, manage reservations and walk-ins using the SevenRooms platform. You'll work closely with the floor team to keep tables moving and make the most of every service. You'll keep an eye on what's happening across the restaurant, communicate with the team and jump in to help reset or prepare tables when needed. Most importantly, you'll make sure every guest receives a warm welcome from the moment they walk through our doors. What you'll bring • You have previous Host/Hostess experience in a busy restaurant., • You're confident using reservation systems; experience with SevenRooms platform would be a bonus., • You're warm, positive and naturally enjoy talking to people., • You're organised, quick on your feet and comfortable working in a busy restaurant., • You communicate clearly and work well with the wider restaurant team., • You understand the importance of managing bookings and turning tables efficiently while still giving guests a great experience., • You're happy to get involved and help the team wherever needed.
