Production SupervisorFresh Food Manufacturing / ProcessingSalary: £35,000 per annumLocation: Howden areaHours: 7:30am 4:30pm, 5 days per weekWeekend work required with 2 days off during the weekWe are recruiting for an experienced Production Supervisor to join a well-established fresh food manufacturing business.This is a hands-on supervisory role, responsible for leading a team of around 30 production staff within a busy fresh food processing environment. The successful candidate will report directly to the Production Manager and will play a key role in ensuring production runs efficiently, safely and to the required standards.The Role:As Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of production activity, ensuring labour, materials and stock are managed effectively to meet production requirements.Duties will include:Supervising and supporting a team of around 30 production staffPlanning daily production activity and ensuring targets are metCarrying out activity mapping to improve efficiency and workflowManaging stock control and ensuring materials are available for productionSupporting staff reviews, performance management and disciplinaries where requiredEnsuring all staff follow company procedures and health & safety standardsMonitoring productivity, quality and attendance across the teamWorking closely with the Production Manager and wider management teamUsing IT systems to record, update and manage production informationPromoting a positive, organised and productive working environmentThe Candidate:We are looking for someone with previous supervisory experience within a fresh food, food manufacturing or food processing environment.You will need to be confident managing people, comfortable working in a fast-paced production setting and able to make decisions to keep production running smoothly.The ideal candidate will have:Previous experience as a Production Supervisor, Team Leader or Shift SupervisorExperience within fresh food, food manufacturing or food processingStrong people management skillsExperience with production planning, labour planning or activity mappingGood IT skillsUnderstanding of stock controlConfidence dealing with reviews, performance issues and disciplinariesStrong awareness of health & safety within a production environmentA flexible approach to working days, including weekendsHours:This is a 5-day working week, working 7:30am 4:30pm. Weekend work will be required, with 2 days off during the week.
