Salary: Competitive, based on experience Role Overview: Galaxy Shopfitter Ltd is seeking a dedicated Driver & Handyman to join our team on a full-time temporary basis, starting January 6, 2024. This role requires both driving and hands-on handyman skills to assist with the delivery and installation of shopfront materials, as well as performing general maintenance tasks on-site. If your performance meets expectations, you may be offered a full-time position after the temporary period. Key Responsibilities: Drive company vehicles to deliver materials and equipment to various job sites Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of shopfronts, doors, windows, shutters, and related fittings Perform general handyman duties, including assembly, basic repairs, and on-site troubleshooting Ensure all tasks are completed safely and efficiently, in compliance with health and safety regulations Assist the team with various on-site tasks as needed, working flexibly to meet deadlines Requirements: Full, clean driving license Proven experience in a handyman or trade-based role Ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexible and reliable, with a strong work ethic Good communication skills Previous experience in shopfitting, glazing, or similar is a plus, but not essential Additional Information: This is a temporary role, with the possibility of a permanent position based on performance. Overtime may be available and is negotiable based on the workload.
