A Regional Accountant for Three Dealerships. Are you the right candidate for this opportunity Make sure to read the full description below. You will be responsible for the financial management, control, reporting, and performance analysis of three dealership sites. The role provides financial leadership and support to operational management teams, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and the delivery of key business objectives. The Regional Accountant will lead and develop a team of 4-5 finance professionals, drive financial performance, and act as a trusted business partner to General Managers and departmental leaders across the region. Sites include Kidlington, Swindon and Banbury. Our client is flexible on your location at the sites and will look to offer some Hybrid working. There is a great package on offer: Salary of up to £60,000 plus Car Plus 10% Bonus, OTE £66,000 depending on experience. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Control Review, reconcile and finalise monthly balance sheets across all assigned sites. Review and finalise monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Group accounting policies. Ensure all month-end reporting deadlines are met. Maintain strong financial controls and governance across the region. Oversee the preparation and submission of VAT returns. Payroll & Accrual Management Review and approve monthly payroll submissions. Prepare and review payroll journals. Ensure payroll accruals are accurately calculated and accounted for. Review and manage expense accruals and provisions. Working Capital Management Conduct regular debtor reviews and ensure prompt resolution of aged debt. Monitor working capital performance and identify opportunities for cash flow improvements. Maintain strong balance sheet control and accountability. Performance Analysis & Reporting Produce and present weekly and monthly KPI reports. Deliver comprehensive financial performance analysis to identify risks and opportunities. Lead Weekly Business Review (WBR) meetings from a finance perspective. Provide insightful commentary on trading performance and financial results. Investigate variances and support operational teams in driving profitability. Budgeting & Forecasting Lead the annual budgeting process across all assigned sites. Prepare periodic forecasts and reforecasts. Challenge assumptions and provide recommendations to improve business performance. Monitor performance against budget and forecast. Business Partnering Act as a key finance contact for General Managers and departmental leaders. Provide commercial support and guidance to operational management teams. Support strategic decision-making through financial insight and analysis. Build strong relationships across the region to promote financial accountability and performance improvement. Team Leadership Manage, develop and motivate a team of five finance professionals. Conduct regular one-to-one meetings and performance reviews. Identify training and development opportunities for team members. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and high performance. Provide coaching and mentoring to develop technical and commercial finance skills. Key Performance Indicators Timely and accurate production of monthly accounts. Balance sheet integrity and reconciliation completion. VAT compliance and submission accuracy. Working capital and debtor performance. Budget and forecast accuracy. You'll be responsible for: • Supporting the Senior Accounting Manager with day-to-day financial accounting activities and year-end audit preparation., • Supporting the preparation of statutory accounts for the UK Group and individual entities., • Supporting the preparation of monthly and quarterly Board reporting., • Managing the revenue recognition process, including reviewing customer contracts and supporting revenue calculations., • Preparing and first reviewing of balance sheet reconciliations across the Group., • Supporting month-end and year-end close processes., • Ensuring compliance with all financial regulations and reporting requirements., • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts., • Monitor and control expenses to ensure they align with budgetary constraints., • Supporting UK and US tax compliance and SOX controls., • Documenting finance processes and strengthening internal controls., • Providing systems support across the Finance function., • Building strong relationships across Finance and the wider business., • Providing support and mentorship to members of the Finance team., • Contributing to continuous improvement projects and wider finance initiatives., • Supporting the Senior Accounting Manager in other Finance initiatives and ad hoc projects as required. We're looking for someone who combines excellent technical accounting knowledge with a proactive, collaborative approach. • ACA/ACCA (or equivalent)., • Post-qualification experience in a financial accounting role., • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS 15., • Experience preparing statutory accounts and supporting external audits., • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards., • Experience of mentoring and supporting junior team members., • Excellent Excel and financial systems skills., • Knowledge of UK tax and accounting regulations., • Exceptional analytical skills with strong attention to detail., • A proactive, organised approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines., • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the business., • Experience within medical technology, life sciences or biotechnology., • Experience working in a high-growth or scaling organisation., • Knowledge of international accounting standards., • Be part of an innovative and growing diagnostic service., • Work in a supportive and collaborative team., • Develop your career in a fast-paced, mission-led environment while helping to improve patient outcomes internationally. #J-18808-Ljbffr
