I’m starting a mission‑driven media/podcast project profiling and interviewing professionals in asset management and financial services across the UK, Europe and Africa. The aim is to highlight practitioners who steward society’s money, and to make their work more visible and understandable to the wider public. I’m looking for a production assistant to help turn this idea into a consistent, professional series. You will support guest outreach, logistics, basic production coordination, and social media/content publishing. This project is starting from scratch, so being proactive and able to make things happen without step‑by‑step instruction is non‑negotiable. Initially, I don’t expect the project to require more than 20 hours per month, but there is scope and budget for the role to grow. Responsibilities • Research and maintain a list of potential guests (asset managers, CIOs, trustees, operators, regulators, etc.) in the UK, Europe and Africa based on guidance from the host., • Draft and send outreach emails, coordinate scheduling, recording logistics, and keep a simple tracker of guests and conversations., • Prepare interview briefs (background notes and draft question sets) based on guidance from the host., • Liaise with any audio/video editor or production service and keep episodes moving to completion., • Draft short show notes and guest summaries in clear, professional English. Can’t rely on AI for this unfortunately., • Create simple visual assets (episode cards, quote graphics, basic audiograms) using tools like Canva or similar., • Upload and publish episodes on hosting platforms with correct titles, descriptions and tags., • Plan and schedule social posts (primarily LinkedIn) to promote each episode and repurpose key ideas into short clips or posts. Requirements • Strong written English; able to write concise, professional emails, notes and social copy. Again, AI won’t help here., • Strong organisation and follow‑through: confident managing calendars, follow‑ups and small projects with minimal supervision., • Familiarity with podcasts or digital content and an understanding of a basic production workflow., • Basic audio and/or video editing skills (e.g. trimming, cleaning up sound, exporting and uploading episodes)., • Comfortable using online tools (Calendly or similar, Google Suite/Office, basic project tracking, Canva or equivalent)., • Interest in finance, economics or professional services, or at least willingness to learn the context quickly., • Reliable internet connection and ability to work across UK/Europe/Africa time zones.
