Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso drinks, ensuring consistency and quality in every cup. Operate the square POS system for processing transactions efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including food preparation areas and customer seating. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality. Adhere to food safety standards and regulations while handling food and beverages. Assist in inventory management, including restocking supplies as needed. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment focused on teamwork and mutual support. Qualifications Previous barista or coffee experience preferred, with a strong understanding of coffee preparation techniques. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele. Experience in food service or the food industry is advantageous. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours. Knowledge of retail math principles related to sales and inventory management is beneficial. We are a small, detail-driven space focused on quality, consistency, and thoughtful execution. From dialing in espresso to developing house-made syrups and carefully composed drinks, everything we serve is rooted in precision and intention. Our goal is to create a calm, welcoming environment where guests can slow down and enjoy high-quality coffee and tea. We are looking for a barista who aligns with this mindset—full-time/ part-time. What we are looking for (preferred): Weekend Availability (Required) Knowledge in handling espresso machines, basic latte art and pour overs skills preferred. Friendly, outgoing and willing to learn. Food Handlers License (required or obtained within 30 days after employment). This is not a fast-paced, volume-first environment.
