Cook – Smoothie, Açaí & Creperie Shop Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cook to join our kitchen team. This role involves preparing fresh açaí bowls, sweet and savory crepes, and assisting with smoothie prep, while maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and cleanliness. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and assemble açaí bowls, crepes, and light food items according to standardized recipes Operate kitchen equipment including crepe griddles, blenders, and prep tools safely and efficiently Ensure proper portioning, plating, and presentation of all menu items Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment Prep fresh ingredients daily (e.g., chopping fruits, mixing batters, portioning toppings) Monitor food inventory and communicate low stock or equipment issues to management Comply with food safety and hygiene regulations at all times Support front-of-house team as needed during peak hours Qualifications: Previous experience in a café, fast-casual, or breakfast-focused kitchen preferred Familiarity with fruit prep, batter-based cooking, or cold/frozen food handling is a plus Strong multitasking skills and attention to detail Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team Food handler’s certification (or willingness to obtain)
☕ Barista - Standard Roles and Responsibilities 1. Customer Service 2. Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming environment Take customer orders accurately Answer questions about menu items and suggest options when asked Handle complaints or concerns professionally 1. Beverage & Food Preparation 2. Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso-based drinks (e.g., lattes, cappuccinos, cold brews) Aid in kitchen worflow by assistanting other workers in drinks Follow recipes and standard procedures for specialty drinks and food items Steam and froth milk to proper texture and temperature Operate coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and other kitchen equipment 1. Cleanliness & Sanitation 2. Keep workstations, counters, and customer areas clean and organized Wash equipment and tools regularly (pitchers, tampers, jugs, etc.) Comply with health and safety regulations, including food handling procedures 1. Inventory & Stock 2. Monitor stock levels of coffee, milk, syrups, cups, and other supplies Restock items as needed throughout shifts Inform managers when inventory is low or if equipment needs repair 1. Cash Handling & POS Operation 2. Process transactions using the POS system Handle cash and credit card payments accurately Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts 1. Teamwork 2. Collaborate with other team members to maintain workflow during busy periods Assist with training new baristas when needed Communicate clearly with kitchen or management staff 1. Additional Tasks (Depending on Location) 2. Open and close the café or work area Label and date prepped ingredients Set up and break down display areas (e.g., pastries, merchandise) Participate in promotions or upselling when appropriate
