We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team in providing high-quality rehabilitation services, primarily focusing on motor vehicle accident (MVA) patients including major medical as well. This position offers the opportunity to work independently to ensure optimal patient care. As a PTA, you will play an integral role in the recovery and rehabilitation process for patients suffering from various injuries. You will have the chance to implement tailored therapeutic interventions, progress treatment plans, and monitor patient progress in a supportive and dynamic environment. Hours: Wednesday 9:00am- 1:00pm & Friday 9:00am - 1:00pm Responsibilities: Independently administer therapeutic treatments and modalities as prescribed by the supervising Physical Therapist. Provide hands-on therapy for MVA patients, focusing on strength, mobility, pain management, and functional recovery. Assist patients with exercises, stretches, and manual therapy techniques to improve movement and decrease pain. Document and track patient progress, noting improvements and challenges. Communicate effectively with the supervising physical therapist to adjust treatment plans as needed. Educate patients on home exercise programs and self-care techniques. Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients during therapy sessions. Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations. Be proactive in fostering a positive relationship with patients and their families. Requirements: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program. Current Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in New Jersey. Minimum of 1 year of experience as a PTA Strong knowledge of therapeutic exercises, modalities, and treatment interventions. Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and handle a caseload of patients. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, their families, and the healthcare team. Ability to follow instructions, as well as take initiative when necessary. Company Description We are seeking a skilled part-time Physical Therapist to join our team. We are a small multi-disciplinary office including chiropractic, neurology/pain management and physical therapy.. The physical therapist will be working with a diverse group of major medical, Medicare and mostly personal injury patients. We use Eclipse for documentation, experience with software is a plus but not necessary. Our physical therapy treatment consist of manual therapy, hot/ice therapy, electrical muscle stimulation, and therapeutic exercises. Must be experienced in all the above. Schedule: Wed & Fri 9:00am - 1:00PM (may be willing to add more hours in the future) Must have a valid PT license in NJ state. Must have experience with Post Surgical personal injury patients Must have active malpractice insurance Responsibilities include: You will treat patients including: pre surgical, post-surgical, orthopedics, sports, etc. Diagnose patients and develop a treatment plan that meets their needs Implement and adjust patient treatment plans as needed Teach patients therapeutic exercises and techniques to help improve their condition Must have a PT Degree, an active New Jersey PT License, and have Mal-Practice Insurance in good standing.
