Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Assistant Director of Nursing, • Discipline: RN, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 37.5 hours per week, • Shift: 8 hours, days, • Employment Type: Travel Job Title: Assistant Director of Nursing Unit: Peds, Nicu, Picu Location: New York, NY, 10037 Shift: 7:30 AM-4:00 PM Shift Length: 8 hours Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 hours per week Duration: 13 weeks Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) – Pediatrics, NICU, and PICU to provide clinical and operational leadership within an acute care hospital setting. The ADON will oversee daily unit operations, support and mentor nursing staff, ensure high-quality patient care, and maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, critical care, and communication skills with a strong focus on patient safety, quality outcomes, and team development. Candidates must have a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in Pediatrics, NICU, and PICU, including at least five (5) years in a supervisory or leadership role within an acute care hospital setting. Roles & Responsibilities: • Oversee daily clinical and operational activities of the Pediatrics, NICU, and PICU units to ensure quality patient care, • Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff while promoting professional growth and team collaboration, • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, infection control, and regulatory requirements, • Coordinate patient care and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal outcomes, • Assist with staffing, scheduling, performance evaluations, and quality improvement initiatives, • Respond to critical patient care situations and support clinical decision-making in high-acuity environmentsSkills:, • Strong leadership and team management skills in Pediatrics, NICU, and PICU settings., • Expertise in pediatric critical care, neonatal care, and acute care clinical practices., • Knowledge of patient safety standards, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement initiatives., • Excellent communication and interdisciplinary care coordination abilities., • Staff supervision, mentoring, performance management, and conflict resolution skills., • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-acuity critical care environments.Documents Required:, • Valid NY State RN license, • 7 years of experience in Pediatrics, NICU, and PICU, including at least five (5) years in a supervisory or leadership role within an acute care hospital setting., • PALS Certified through AHA, • ACLS Certified through AHA Guided by our core values; Results, Approachability, Care, and Emergency (RACE), we foster an environment where you can grow professionally, build meaningful relationships, and deliver outstanding patient care.
