Job Title: Driver Location: Mount Vernon, NY (servicing Westchester, NYC, NJ, CT) Company: Pacific Horizon Landscape Reports To: Operations Manager / Foreman --- Overview: We’re looking for a reliable, disciplined Driver who knows how to hustle and keep operations moving. You’ll be responsible for transporting crew members, equipment, and materials safely and efficiently to job sites. Punctuality, accountability, and vehicle upkeep are non-negotiable. --- Key Responsibilities: Safely drive company vehicles to and from job sites across the tri-state area. Load, secure, and transport tools, equipment, and landscaping materials. Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any issues immediately. Maintain a clean and organized vehicle at all times. Assist with site setup/breakdown and light labor tasks as needed. Communicate with the operations team for scheduling, routing, and job details. Follow DOT, local, and company driving regulations. --- Must Work: Monday through Saturday, with flexibility for early start times (as early as 6:30 AM). All weather conditions—rain, heat, cold—unless conditions are unsafe. Extended hours during peak season or when job demands it (overtime available). Last-minute schedule changes or emergency job calls—being available matters. No tolerance for “no call/no show” or habitual lateness—this role is crucial to operations. --- Qualifications: Valid NYS Driver’s License (CDL a plus but not required). Clean driving record (no DUIs, major violations, or suspensions). Familiar with GPS navigation, routes, and traffic laws in the tri-state area. Must be physically fit and able to lift 50+ lbs. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. Prior experience in landscaping, construction, or logistics is preferred. Opportunity for FIBER techs Our company, a subcontractor based in Hudson Valley and Connecticut, is committed to providing ample work year-round for our technicians. During our exceptional training program, you’ll acquire all the necessary skills to become a skilled fiber optic technician. Please note that you’ll need to bring your own personal SUV or Minivan for this job, otherwise we’ll rent out the vehicle for a $175 a week that will be deducted from your paycheck every week. all other tools will be provided. Your primary responsibility will be to drill small holes and install the fiber optic wire inside the house. In most cases, Optimum pre-runs the wire to the house, but if not, you’ll be responsible for running the wire from the pole to the house. For this additional work, you’ll receive an extra $70, in addition to the $60 for the installation. (All the necessary training will be provided during the program.) Once the wire is inside the house, you’ll connect the MODEM. All our cable boxes are wireless, but you’ll be responsible for activating them and ensuring they’re working before providing the customer with the Wi-Fi name and password. Pay Rate: A job starts at $60, and the average time spent on a job is around 90 minutes. However, as you gain experience, you’ll become more efficient and will spend less time on each job. Important Things to Remember Before Applying: - Everyone is hired as a 1099 subcontractor. - The weekly average income for a 6-days-per-week schedule is between 8-6 - You must be able to climb and handle a 28-foot ladder.
