Overview We are looking for a proactive, hands-on individual to join our team as a Handyman / Maintenance Technician. This role combines general maintenance work with the opportunity to learn how to repair and maintain coffee equipment (espresso machines, grinders, water systems, etc.). If you enjoy working with tools, solving problems, and want to develop specialized technical skills, this position is for you. As a technician, you’ll deepen your knowledge of coffee equipment while helping maintain the quality standards that make Devocion unique. Responsibilities • Perform general repairs (basic electrical, plumbing, painting, etc.), • Conduct preventive maintenance of facilities, • Assist with installation and repair of coffee equipment, • Diagnose issues and propose effective solutions, • Keep tools and work areas organized, • Learn and apply maintenance techniques for coffee machinery Requirements • Previous experience as a handyperson or in general maintenance, • Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems, • Ability to use hand and power tools, • Strong willingness to learn and sense of responsibility, • Driver’s license, • Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Qualifications • Experience with general maintenance projects, • Experience with coffee equipment or similar machinery, • Interest in coffee and its technology, • Experience in commercial or industrial maintenance Physical Requirements • Ability to frequently move around for extended periods of time (8+ hours per day, 5 days per week)., • Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs., • Ability to operate store machinery for extended periods of time. You will also coordinate maintenance schedules, communicate directly with tenants, and ensure all work is completed efficiently and on time. In addition, you will be responsible for janitorial oversight, including ensuring common areas are kept clean, garbage is properly handled and taken out on schedule, and overall building cleanliness is maintained. A valid driver license is required, Most have there own tools. If you are dependable, organized, and experienced in hands-on property maintenance, we’d like to hear from you.

Position Summary: The Diesel Technician is responsible for the preventative and corrective maintenance of the diesel main engines and generators onboard fleet vessels. Three shifts are available at the Brooklyn Navy Yard: • Night shift, 5:00 PM - 1:30 AM, • Morning shift, 4:00 AM - 12:30 PM, • Swing shift, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM Duties & Responsibilities: • Accept tasks from the Engineering Supervisor and plans/implements execution., • Successfully and safely perform all diesel engine maintenance onboard vessels up to, and including, engine overhauls, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance work., • Ensure all aspects of safety during task execution., • Issue company power tools to technicians to accomplish designated tasks. Ensure tools are returned before the end of the shift., • Ensure company warranty procedures are followed., • Ensure all shift paperwork is correctly completed and submitted., • Important vessel information is communicated to other supervisors and the chain of command., • Seek the highest levels of quality and professionalism., • Use of approved Hazmat required for Paints, Solvents & Cleaning Agents., • Perform cleaning and custodial tasks of the vessels and property, including maintenance and construction tasks as assigned and minor engineering repairs and rounds as directed., • Work to achieve the highest levels of performance and productivity., • Assist the Port Engineer in ensuring compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations., • Assist the Port Engineer in ensuring the vessel is always in an inspection-ready condition., • Assist with filling water, bunkering fuel, connecting and disconnecting shore power as directed., • Additional job duties as assigned. Requirements & Qualifications: • HS Diploma, • Valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC Card), and/or ability to obtain and maintain., • Valid First Aid/CPR Certification, and/or ability to obtain and maintain., • Valid Driver’s License., • Copy of DD214, if Veteran status., • Excellent customer service skills., • Ability to effectively interact with the passengers, guests, and fellow employees., • Ability to work in fast-paced, quickly changing environment., • Mechanical and electrical experience are required., • Marine mechanical experience is highly desired., • Proven track record running a maintenance shift is highly desired., • Proven track record of working successfully in a team environment., • Submit to and pass alcohol and drug tests as mandated by the USCG including but not limited to pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident/incident testing. Salary dependent on skill level and experience, as determined by the Port Engineer.
