Senior Revenue Accounting Manager \n Location: San Francisco Bay Area (Hybrid, 3 Days Onsite) \n \n About the Role \n An innovative and rapidly expanding AI company is looking for a Senior Revenue Accounting Manager to take ownership of revenue accounting operations and lead the full order-to-cash cycle. \n \n This highly visible position will play a critical role in supporting a growing, usage-based revenue model. The ideal candidate will oversee revenue recognition, billing operations, receivables, system optimization, and internal controls across a diverse customer base that includes self-service users, enterprise clients, platform partners, and strategic alliances. \n This opportunity is well suited for a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys building scalable processes, improving automation, and collaborating across departments in a fast-paced growth environment. \n \n What You'll Do: \n Revenue Accounting & ASC 606 Compliance \n\n • Lead the monthly revenue close process for a high-volume, consumption-driven business.\n, • Maintain and refine revenue recognition policies in accordance with ASC 606 standards.\n, • Analyze complex revenue-related issues, including variable consideration, breakage, material rights, and principal versus agent assessments.\n, • Review unique customer agreements and partnership structures to determine appropriate accounting treatment.\n\n \n Order-to-Cash Leadership \n\n • Manage the complete order-to-cash workflow, including invoicing, billing, collections, cash application, dispute resolution, and reporting.\n, • Oversee billing activities for both enterprise and self-service customers, including usage-based invoicing and overage calculations.\n, • Direct accounts receivable operations, reserve analyses, aging reviews, and write-off processes.\n, • Implement scalable controls, procedures, and documentation to support continued growth.\n\n \n Revenue Systems & Process Improvement \n\n • Administer and enhance revenue automation tools and reconciliation systems.\n, • Ensure accurate reconciliation of payment platforms, including settlements, fees, transaction activity, and cash receipts.\n, • Collaborate with Engineering and Data teams to maintain revenue data quality and reliability.\n, • Champion automation initiatives designed to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.\n\n \n Financial Reporting & Controls \n\n • Own revenue and accounts receivable account reconciliations.\n, • Coordinate revenue-related close activities while identifying ways to streamline month-end processes.\n, • Deliver meaningful revenue reporting and financial insights to leadership.\n, • Develop and maintain internal controls that support a growing and evolving organization.\n\n \n Audit & Regulatory Compliance \n\n • Act as the primary liaison for external auditors on revenue accounting matters.\n, • Prepare supporting schedules, reconciliations, and documentation for audits.\n, • Strengthen accounting policies and control frameworks to meet expanding compliance and reporting requirements.\n\n \n Qualifications \n Required Background \n\n • 6+ years of accounting experience, with significant exposure to revenue accounting.\n, • Strong expertise in ASC 606 and complex revenue recognition scenarios.\n, • Experience supporting usage-based, subscription, consumption-driven, or credit-based business models.\n, • Demonstrated ownership of billing, accounts receivable, and order-to-cash processes.\n, • Experience reconciling payment processor activity, settlements, fees, and customer receipts.\n, • Proficiency with revenue and billing solutions such as Zuora, NetSuite ARM, RevPro, Maxio, HubiFi, or similar platforms.\n, • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with experience working with large transaction-level datasets.\n, • Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities; SQL knowledge is advantageous.\n, • Ability to succeed in a dynamic, high-growth environment.\n, • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\n\n \n Preferred Experience \n\n • CPA certification.\n, • Public accounting or Big Four background.\n, • Experience supporting IPO readiness, public-company reporting, or audit-intensive environments.\n, • Prior NetSuite experience.\n, • Exposure to multi-entity, multi-currency, and intercompany accounting structures.\n, • Track record of designing and implementing accounting processes and controls from scratch.\n\n \n Compensation & Benefits \n\n • Base salary ranging from $175,000 to $220,000\n, • Equity participation opportunity\n, • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance\n, • 401(k) plan with employer matching\n, • Strong career progression and leadership growth opportunities\n, • Opportunity to contribute within a cutting-edge AI organization and collaborate with a talented team\n\n \n Apply Today or reach out to Dylan Piekarski at dylanpiekarski@brewermorris.com
