Job Description HR Coordinator (Bilingual English / Spanish) | Temp-to-Hire Hackensack, NJ area | Fully On-site Must be fully fluent (speak / read / write) with both English and Spanish Job Summary: Assist with day-to-day functions of the HR department, providing administrative HR support and guidance at all business locations with regard to terminations, benefits, leave of absences, workers comp and any payroll-related questions. Responsibilities: • Facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open warehouse/transportation positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings., • Onboarding of warehouse employees and drivers which includes all new hire / rehire paperwork, I9 verification and WOTC compliance., • Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files., • Conduct new hire orientation in English and/or Spanish., • Answer routine questions from applicants about employment procedures., • Accurately maintain employee files., • Assists with processing of termination paperwork., • Implement company culture, core values and policies., • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions., • Assist with employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff., • Assist with HR policy interpretation and basic benefits inquiries., • Assist with annual open enrollment., • Assist with all company employee related events., • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience., • 2+ years of Human Resources experience in a fast-paced environment required., • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)., • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures., • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines., • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment., • Knowledge of labor and employment laws, • Strong onboarding background, • Ability to interact with employees and management at all levels, manage confidential issues and information with discretion., • Ability to write in a clear and concise manner., • Total discretion and respect for confidentiality of data and decision-making., • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor under pressure and operate with a keen sense of urgency and commitment to quality., • Excellent customer service skills.
