Our product is inspired by traditional Nigerian kilishi, and we are looking for someone who can help us grow both behind the scenes and in front of customers. This is not just a kitchen prep role. We are looking for someone who can help push the business forward — someone hardworking, creative, organized, positive, and goal-driven. Some days may be spent in the kitchen helping with production, while other days may involve content creation, social media planning, customer service, admin work, marketing ideas, or helping us improve how the business operates. The right person should be excited about growth, sales, branding, content, and building something from the ground up. Responsibilities Production Support When needed, you may assist with hands-on production work, including: Preparing and processing beef jerky/kilishi Assisting with kitchen prep and cleanup Standing for extended periods, usually 4–6+ hours Helping keep the production area organized and efficient Lifting 25–40 lbs when needed Admin & Customer Service You may also help with business operations, including: Responding to customer emails, DMs, and inquiries Helping with basic customer service communication Assisting with Shopify/e-commerce tasks Organizing orders, updates, and customer information Helping us stay on top of daily business tasks Supporting other flexible admin needs as they come up Social Media, Marketing & Growth A major part of this role is helping the business grow. The Law School is searching for an HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Law School’s size, vibrant employee and student population, and commitment to training the next generation of lawyers and promoting social justice, will offer a candidate the opportunity to develop and diversify practical skills and participate firsthand in operating a successful educational institution. Reporting to both the Director of Facilities Management and Assistant Facilities Manager the HVAC Maintenance Technician will play a vital role in operating and maintaining HVAC systems at Brooklyn Law School's main building (250 Joralemon Street) and the student residence (205 Street). In this role, you will not only operate and maintain HVAC systems but also actively engage in optimizing maintenance procedures, collaborating with colleagues, and contributing to the development of preventive maintenance plans. This is a fully on-site position. Responsibilities include: • Conduct maintenance, upkeep, and repair of all HVAC equipment, including PTAC unit., • Operate, repair, and maintain boilers, chillers, and MEP equipment., • Perform daily inspections, changing filters, coil cleaning, greasing motors, and replacing light bulbs & ballasts., • Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units., • Diagnose and repair of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of these systems as needed., • Document all installed equipment upon arrival: make, model, serial number, type of fuel, necessary test measurements, and pictures as necessary., • Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain any replacement parts, calibrate system to manufacturer’s recommendations., • Responsible for adjustments to the building energy management system., • Assist with building maintenance functions for special events, snow removal, garbage removal, recycling, and clean up after floods or emergencies as needed and requested by Superintendent and/or Director of Facilities., • Ability to work independently in a timely manner, ensuring deadlines are consistently met, • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and respond quickly to calls and requests from Superintendent and/or Director and Assistant Facilities Manager, • Responsible for preventive maintenance of all building equipment, • Keep mechanical rooms clean and free from debris and trash Required: • High School Diploma required., • Minimum of 5 years of experience in general maintenance in an institution or commercial facility, of which a minimum of 3 years is in HVAC., • EPA 608 Certification Required prior to starting date., • P99 Certification of Fitness Required must be obtained prior to or shortly after the start date., • P98 Certificate of Fitness Required must be obtained prior to or shortly after the start date., • A35 Certificate of Fitness Required must be obtained prior to or shortly after the start date., • S12 and S13 Certificates of Fitness highly recommended, • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed, and to respond to emergency situations on an “on-call” basis., • Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks with repetition., • Ability to receive supervision and feedback and adjust performance accordingly., • Strong organizational, oral, and written skills essential., • Proficient in basic computer skills and able to use a mobile device throughout the workday.
