NJ Antiques, a boutique, full-service auction house specializing in fine art, antiques, jewelry, and collectibles, is seeking a full-time Auction House Associate to join uour growing team.
This position is ideal for a recent graduate in art history, fine arts, design, museum studies, photography, or a related field who is looking to gain hands-on experience in the auction and antiques industry.
Responsibilities include answering phones and assisting clients, collecting payments, releasing sold merchandise to customers and shippers, receiving and organizing consignments, packing and shipping sold items, photographing inventory, writing auction descriptions, and helping ensure all items are processed and shipped on time. The role also involves general administrative support and day-to-day auction operations.
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to handle artwork and antiques carefully. Strong writing and communication skills are important, along with basic computer and photography skills. An interest in art, antiques, jewelry, collectibles, or auctions is highly preferred.
This is a full-time, in-person position with opportunity for growth within the company.
