BRIC is building Brooklyns creative future. About the Forklift Operator BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival Role: BRIC seeks a Forklift Operator, BCBF who will work during Load-in, Load-out, and for benefit shows. This role will be responsible for unloading and loading production gear and any other objects where a forklift is needed onsite. What Youll Do in the Role: The Forklift Operator will be responsible for the following in addition to any other project as assigned by their manager, the Production Supervisor, BCBF: • Proficiency in operating technical machinery, • Valid fork-lifting certificate., • Excellent hand-eye coordination., • Be able to work in a team environment, • Willingness to work outdoors, early mornings, late nights, long days, and weekend shifts, and to work in inclement weather. Youll Bring these Skills and Strengths to the Role: • Mission & Values Alignment: A passion for BRICs support of the arts in Brooklyn and a deep commitment to building community, igniting learning and making change through the arts and creativity., • Experience & Qualifications:, • Valid forklifting certificate, • Licensed forklift driver, • 5+ operating heavy machinery, • Must have a history of using machinery safely, • Communication & Relationship Building: An emotionally intelligent, values- and results-driven leader who can inspire staff and collaborate across departments and at all levels of the organization, and provide feedback and coaching to support the achievement of goals. Highly skilled communicator and relationship builder, both individually and in large audiences or public communications., • Commitment to Equity & Inclusion: Brings experience operationalizing equity within the Performing Arts and or Hospitality function. Other Things to Know: • Compensation: The salary for this position is $25/hr. Meals provided on show days., • Status and location: This is a seasonal role based at the Lena HorneBandshell at Prospect Park., • General Schedule:, • Load In: May 4th - June 3rd (Monday-Friday 8 hours/ day), • BCBF Season: June 4th - September 19th (exact dates to be determined Approximately 10-14 hours/ day), • Load Out: September 21st - October 3rd (12 days, 8 hours/ day), • Mission & Values: BRIC is committed to building Brooklyn's creative future.
