Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Chef Consultant to lead the development and launch of a new Spring menu. This short-term consulting engagement will focus on menu curation, kitchen execution, and collaboration with our existing culinary team. The ideal consultant brings both creative vision and strong operational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and assess the current menu, kitchen workflow, and food costs
- Curate a new Spring multicultural menu aligned with the restaurant’s concept
- Develop standardized recipes, prep procedures, and plating guidelines
- Cost and price menu items with attention to efficiency and sustainability
- Collaborate with and train kitchen staff on menu execution
- Support menu rollout, tastings, and early-stage refinements
Ideal Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Chef Consultant or in menu development roles
- Strong background in multicultural or global cuisines
- Experience with menu engineering, costing, and seasonal menu launches
- Collaborative leadership style and ability to work with existing teams
- NYC restaurant experience preferred
