Join our team as a Cleaning Support Specialist and enjoy the variety and mobility of working across different municipal facilities. This role is essential in covering absences, handling emergencies, and supporting high-demand days.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to cleaning teams in various buildings as needed.
- Step in during absences, emergencies, or increased workloads.
- Clean restrooms, offices, hallways, break rooms, and common areas thoroughly.
- Refill dispensers and restock necessary supplies.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors to ensure cleanliness.
- Adhere to OSHA regulations, including SDS handling and PPE requirements.
- Maintain effective communication with team leaders and supervisors.
- Assist with scheduled monthly or deep-cleaning tasks.
Requirements:
- Must be flexible with scheduling and building assignments.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations (SDS, PPE, general safety) is required.
- Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are highly advantageous.
- Previous janitorial experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work independently.
- Reliable transportation is necessary.
- Must pass a background check for access to municipal facilities.
