



The Cook is responsible for supporting daily kitchen operations by preparing, cooking, and presenting food items according to established recipes, quality standards, and production schedules. This role ensures that all food is prepared safely, efficiently, and consistently while maintaining proper sanitation, inventory control, and workstation organization. The Cook works collaboratively with the culinary team to meet service demands, support special productions, and uphold food safety, hygiene, and Kosher compliance standards in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
This is a full-time seasonal position running from May 1 through October 31, 2026.
Candidates must be available to work Sunday through Friday, with Saturdays off.
Shifts are scheduled within the organization’s hours of operation: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Responsibilities:
Assist with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations
Assemble and prepare ingredients including cleaning and cutting ingredients, butchering meat, preparing sauces, etc.
Cook various foods according to orders and in-house needs
Assist with the creation and production of goods for special presentations
Check orders to determine the variety and quantity of goods needed
Maintain production schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods
Store foods properly in designated areas following proper temperature, dating, labeling, and stock rotation procedures
Utilize approved food production standards to ensure proper quality and portion control
Maintain inventory control and production practices to minimize wastage
Working safely with large volumes of culinary equipment
Communicate effectively with team members of various levels
Ensure compliance with applicable food hygiene, safety, and Kosher requirements
Maintain a clean and organized workspace at all times
Assets:
1-year minimum experience
Food Handlers certification preferred
