ABOUT OUR FINANCE DEPARTMENT The Finance Department at BBB National Programs plays a vital role in supporting the organization’s operations and mission. The Finance team is responsible for all the finance and accounting activities in the organization, managing cash flow, forecasts, day-to-day accounting, and generating financial statements following generally accepted accounting principles. YOUR IMPACT The Accounting Manager is responsible for directing the organization’s core accounting activities, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, the integrity of internal controls, and the efficiency of daily financial operations. This position functions as a primary liaison between the finance department and operational units, providing guidance to program managers and ensuring that financial practices are aligned with the organization’s strategic and operational objectives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Oversee accounts receivable functions, including invoicing and collections, to support timely receipt of funds and consistent cash flow., • Oversee accounts payable functions to ensure accuracy, proper authorization, and timely processing of vendor payments., • Oversee payroll functions to ensure compliance, accurate compensation calculations, and timely employee payment., • Administer the employee expense reimbursement process to ensure compliance with organizational policies and timely processing of submissions., • Lead month-end and year-end close activities to ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements., • Maintain and enhance financial close procedures to strengthen efficiency, accuracy, and overall process effectiveness., • Collaborate closely with program managers to deliver financial insights and support effective budgeting and program execution., • Serve as a liaison between operational and finance teams to ensure clear communication, alignment, and coordinated decision-making., • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, organizational policies, and all relevant regulatory requirements., • Support audit activities and maintain strong internal controls to ensure effectiveness across all accounting functions. WHAT YOU WILL BRING Must have: • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field., • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required., • 5+ Years of progressive accounting experience with 2+ years overseeing accounting operations., • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting., • Experience managing full-cycle accounting operations, including AR, AP, payroll, and close processes., • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills., • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments., • Ability to streamline processes and implement improvements., • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
