We are seeking an experienced Plumbing Mechanic to join our licensed plumbing company. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of NYC plumbing code, with expertise in drainage, waste, and vent systems. A solid working knowledge of boilers—both residential and commercial—is essential. Candidates should be adaptable and confident working across various types of plumbing systems, including heating, domestic water, and specialty piping. Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on plumbing, heating, and rooting, • Diagnose mechanical issues and determine appropriate solutions., • Utilize power tools and equipment safely and effectively., • Perform heavy lifting as required during repairs or installations., • Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently., • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools are accounted for., • Assist in remodeling projects, including construction plumbing tasks., • Execute pipe threading as needed for various applications. Experience • Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role is preferred., • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively., • Familiarity with basic math skills for measurements and calculations., • Experience with carpentry, maintenance person tasks, or construction plumbing is a plus., • Ability to operate various power tools safely and efficiently., • Willingness to learn new skills and techniques related to mechanics and repair work.
