Manny Cantor Center is one of New York City’s original settlement houses, EA was founded in 1889 to offer educational, social, and cultural services to Jewish immigrants arriving to the Lower East Side. Today, EA partners with diverse communities throughout Lower Manhattan. Across our network of community centers, we empower people of all backgrounds to flourish, recognizing the intrinsic value within each individual and the importance of building community. We are seeking a full-time Community Programs Manager to coordinate and support oversight of current community program offerings while working with community members, staff and our neighborhood school partners to create new opportunities for engagement with Manny Cantor Center. The Community Programs Manager will work collaboratively to develop enriching, high-quality programming that have a measurable impact on the lives of our families and community members. RESPONSIBILITIES • Develop and manage program initiatives, events and projects in close partnership with Senior Director and other programs across MCC and the agency., • Ensure that organization, planning, and purpose are aligned and clearly communicated, and execute projects purposefully., • Create and maintain a rigorous data collection and evaluation system in collaboration with the Research and Evaluation department that aligns with the objectives of new and expanded programs for families, ensuring accuracy, and making improvements and adjustments when needed., • Lead the creation and implementation of Saturday programming at MCC, particularly geared towards school-aged families, in partnership with program staff at MCC and Community Schools. (Includes onsite management on Saturdays)., • Support development of parent and family programming in partnership with Senior Directors and Community Schools staff, including planning, logistics, outreach and onsite oversight, • Support ReLoved Boutique operations and programming, providing back-up coverage when needed, working with staff and volunteer maintaining data accuracy, working with partners and community groups to coordinate donation drives, building partnership opportunities and creating and leading programming for the Boutique., • Source, cultivate and maintain relationships with mission-aligned partners that provide services, resources and support to meet the needs of the team and community, • Recruit community members for program initiatives working closely with the rest of team, spending time in schools and other community hubs to cultivate meaningful relationships., • Conduct community outreach on behalf of Community Programs and Social Work, tabling at events, at MCC and other opportunities to ensure constituents have the information they need and can connect to services and supports., • Attend community meetings, coalitions and events as representative of community programs and social work at MCC, • Maintain data for all community programming, working with senior director and director of operations to ensure appropriate systems are in place, quality of data, developing reports and updating the agency dashboard, • Create reports on progress, ensuring appropriate tracking and communication of what is going on in areas of oversight, • Attend staff meetings and trainings, • Perform other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelors Degree required, • 3-5+ years in managing programming initiatives, community outreach and/or partnership cultivation required, • Available to work a Tuesday-Saturday schedule required, • Bilingual English/Spanish required, • Experience creating and maintaining successful programs for a diverse community and working collaboratively across teams., • Strong written and verbal communication skills, • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, outlook and teams Benefits • Generous PTO Policy, • Competitive Salary, • Medical & Dental Insurance, • Pension Plan, • 403b Retirement Plans, • Discount Perks for Movies, Broadway Shows, and Amusement Parks, etc., • Free Gym Membership to our MCC Fitness & 14TH ST Y Gym, • Discounts to programs at Educational Alliance LIMITATIONS AND DISCLAIMER The above job description is meant to describe the general nature and level of work being performed; it is not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required for the position.
