  Job Description Immediate need for an Accounts Payable Manager to oversee an accounts payable team that will be responsible for processing payables. This includes working directly with vendors, building key relationships with internal and external customers, ensuring compliance and driving department efficiencies and automation. What you will be doing: • Directly supervise accounts payable team that is responsible for the accurate and timely processing and payment of all disbursements/payables., • Manage the invoice workflow through the EDI system to ensure proper internal controls for disbursement business process. Ensure that invoices are coded to the proper expense subledger accounts and disbursed timely., • Perform accounts payable month-end close process for multiple entities, ensuring proper cut-off procedures and accurate intercompany allocations, • Collaborate with other departments, personnel, and vendors as needed in completing accounts payable tasks in conformance with Company policies and controls., • Carefully review and monitor weekly accounts payable reports including rejected items, items on hold and returned disbursements to ensure items are handled in a timely manner and reported correctly., • Continuously train and develop accounts payable team on system procedures and updated processes to ensure efficient workflow to include system integrations and implementations. Research, analyze and resolve more complex payment and vendor issues., • Hands-on management of accounts payable team, providing guidance in efforts around problem solving and troubleshooting., • Work directly with internal and external subsidiaries to review and approve timely disbursements, ACH, manual checks, wires and recurring payments obligations., • Oversee and process new vendor W-9s and process 1099’s in a timely manner, • Oversee the preparation and filing of appropriate returns for unclaimed property and escheatment, • Ensure continuous process improvements over the entire accounts payable process, • 7 or more years of large corporate accounts payable experience with 3 or more years a shared services experience supporting multiple entities plus, • Critical thinking and analytical skills with demonstrated leadership qualities and high-level competency of disbursement controls, • Demonstrated experience as a working manager; motivated by process improvements and efficiencies, • Proficient user in Microsoft Office Suite with in-depth knowledge and proficiency of automated disbursement systems, • Strong communication, organizational, problem solving and leadership skills.
