We’re excited to announce the opening of our soul food and vegan soul food truck in Teaneck, NJ, this April, and we’re searching for a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. Responsibilities:
• Oversee all kitchen operations, including menu execution and food preparation.
• Maintain high-quality recipes and standards.
• Train, manage, and inspire kitchen staff.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation compliance at all times.
• Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs.
• Collaborate with ownership to innovate and refine menu offerings.
• Handle high-volume service efficiently and effectively.
Qualifications:
• 2+ years of professional kitchen experience, preferably in leadership roles (food truck experience is a plus).
• Strong knowledge of soul food and/or vegan cuisine.
• Exceptional organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Leadership and team-building abilities with excellent communication skills.
