Vacation Season 2025 Commercial Building Cleaners (seasonal cleaners which can last 3 to 6 months, employer may hire permanently) Pay Rate & Position Details: $18.58/hour + 32BJ Union Seasonal Position, must pay union dues. The following shifts are available: Day shift Night shift Third shift Weekend shift Requirements: You must have experience in commercial building janitorial/custodial maintenance and cleaning. Must be available to work any shift as assigned. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. Professional appearance and communication. Ability to work either mornings, 6:00AM, 7:00AM, 8:00AM, and 9:00AM - 5:00PM or evenings, 5:00 PM until 12:30 AM, with flexibility to work additional hours and weekends as needed. You must be capable of standing and walking for long periods. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs., to bend, reach, and carry. Ability to take direction and work in a team-oriented environment. We are looking for a motivated, flexible and professional candidate to work as a temporary janitorial worker. You will be responsible for the successful delivery of all aspects of maintenance services in our client facilities in order to guarantee a spotless environment. Maintenance services include client spaces, public areas, and rest room maintenance. We have day and evening positions available. Responsibilities include: Cleaning, stocking and supplying designated facility areas. Dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents and restroom cleaning. Performing and documenting routine inspection and maintenance activities. Carry out heavy cleaning tasks and special projects. Provide excellent customer service and attention to detail. Ability to project a professional and knowledgeable demeanor. Responsible for meticulous upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exteriors and leasing office, parking lots and other community buildings. Remove trash from office areas and apartment community perimeter on a daily basis.

Position Summary: We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Janitor/Handyman to join our school. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall upkeep of our school, including classrooms, restrooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces. Key Responsibilities: Janitorial Duties: -Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors -Clean and sanitize restrooms -Empty trash and recycling bins -Dust and clean furniture and fixtures -Maintain cleanliness of all common areas Maintenance Duties: -Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks (e.g., changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, minor plumbing issues) -Painting and minor carpentry work -Floor stripping and waxing (as needed) -Snow removal and groundskeeping (including operating snow blower) -Maintain and operate building equipment (e.g., lawnmowers, floor scrubbers) Facility Upkeep: -Inspect and report any maintenance or safety concerns -Ensure the building is secure and properly maintained Schedule: • Split Shift: 6:00 AM - 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM • Monday to Friday • Morning shift • On call • Weekend Availability: Required (specific days may vary) Expected hours: 35 per week Shift availability: • Night Shift (Preferred) • Overnight Shift (Preferred) • Day Shift (Preferred) Physical Setting: • Outdoor work • Private school • School Qualifications: · High School Diploma or equivalent · Prior experience in custodial or maintenance work preferred in school or hospital · Experience with floor stripping and waxing, painting, and minor repairs a plus · Ability to operate snow blowers and other groundskeeping equipment · Strong work ethic and attention to detail · Ability to work independently and as part of a team · Ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 22 pounds · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Salary/Pay Rate: $22.00 an hour Benefits: · Paid Sick Leave · 403(b) Retirement Important Notes: Maintaining a clean and safe environment is crucial for our students, families and staff health and well-being.
