



Seeking an IT project manager to support the government healthcare against infectious diseases.
Duration: through 6-30-26 with extensions beyond
Work location: Hybrid (2-3 days a week onsite)
Duties/skills:
-Excellent communication and leadership skills both written and oral.
-Strong influence, interaction & negotiation exp.
-Ability to communicate with supporting resources across business and/or functional lines.
-Have excellent organizational skills, proven analytical, planning, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
-Must meet productivity standards, complete work in timely manner and strive to increase productivity.
-Defining and developing quality standards.
-Conduct reviews according to schedule.
-Communicate and work with customers and other personnel, as necessary.
-Report progress on an action item/defect resolution & risk areas and ensure action items are addressed and closed in a timely manner based on agreed dates and activities.
-Ensure that defined processes are followed.
-Organize and prepare work effectively to facilitate proactive resolution of problems, rather than reactive.
-Mentor and share knowledge with State staff.
-Create requests for proposals for IT system contracts with the government.
-Must have working exp with healthcare IT applications
-Prior government department exp and the ability to create RFP requirements from the affected users.
-Knowledge & understanding of the applications used for immunization registry
-Familiar with the RFP process
Duties:
-Assist immunization program and IT in the process of drafting an RFP per government guidelines for a vendor for the Immunization Information System.
-Provide feedback to project teams regarding process/procedure improvement opportunities and other potential areas for improvement discovered during project activities.
-Advise teams as they gather and document requirements.
-Technical leadership in identifying and documenting items needed by the project, including system architecture and platform migration.
-Communicate implications of requirements as related to vendor management after contract award.
-Contribute to the establishment of and meet quality goals and objectives for the project and all aspects of quality assurance for the project including establishing relevant metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.
-Review project’s required work products to ensure compliance with approved tailored procedures and standards.
-Perform detailed reviews of interim and final tasks as appropriate.
-An advisor regarding the evaluation process components and required documents such as SLA & Data Recovery Plans.
-Use technical understanding to assist the group in seeing opportunities for growth and resource management in contract span
