Role Description We are seeking a Kitchen Standards and Compliance Assistant with a strong focus on compliance and regulatory standards. This role is critical in ensuring that all kitchen operations meet or exceed Department of Health requirements, with particular emphasis on sanitation, documentation, and procedural accuracy. Key Responsibilities • Conduct random spot checks across kitchen operations to verify compliance with Department of Health regulations, • Supervise kitchen assistants to ensure adherence to established policies, procedures, and hygiene standards, • Monitor and enforce strict cleanliness protocols in all food preparation and storage areas, • Maintain accurate compliance records, inspection logs, and corrective action reports, • Identify and address non-compliance issues promptly, implementing corrective measures as needed, • Provide training and guidance to staff on food safety, sanitation, and regulatory updates, • Proven experience in food service supervision or compliance monitoring, • In-depth knowledge of Department of Health regulations, food safety standards, and sanitation practices, • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail, • Ability to conduct thorough inspections and document findings accurately, • Flexibility with hours and days, including evenings and weekends, to perform spot checks, • Competitive compensation, • Flexible scheduling to support compliance needs, • Professional development opportunities in food safety and regulatory compliance, • A structured, supportive environment committed to excellence Salary is $20-$25 an hour depending on qualifications and experience Employee contribution Medical insurance offered.
