Weekend Overnight Line Cook (East Village) – Stable Hours / Growth Opportunity Veselka – busy, established Ukrainian restaurant in East Village is looking for a reliable overnight line cook. Schedule: Friday 11 PM – 7 AM Saturday 11 PM – 7 AM Perfect for someone looking for consistent weekend hours or a second job. What you’ll do: • Prepare food to order (dine-in & takeout), • Work in a smaller overnight team (less chaos than daytime), • Focus on consistency and quality What we’re looking for: • Line cook experience, • Ability to work clean and organized, • Reliable and on time (very important for overnight shift) What we offer: • $20–$22/hour, • Stable schedule every week, • Supportive team, • Opportunity to transition into a full-time line cook position - many of our full-time cooks started part-time. MUST HAVE FOOD HANDLERS (NO EXCEPTIONS) • Assist in the preparation and cooking of various dishes in the kitchen, • Follow recipes and menu specifications to ensure consistent quality, • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas, • Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans, • Assist with inventory management and stock rotation, • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, • Collaborate with the kitchen team and FOH staff to ensure smooth operations
