Job Details Job Details: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Permanent Real Estate Litigation Attorney specializing in Landlord/Tenant disputes. The successful candidate will be joining our dynamic and fast-paced team in the Legal industry. This role will involve dealing with a variety of real estate matters, with a particular focus on landlord and tenant disputes, housing court proceedings, supreme court cases, NYC housing, and condominium issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in this area, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities: Represent clients in court or before government agencies, present and summarize cases to judges and juries. Advise clients concerning business transactions, claim liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations. Interpret laws, rulings and regulations for individuals and businesses. Present evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in criminal or civil litigation. Negotiate settlements of civil disputes. Confer with colleagues with specialties in appropriate areas of legal issue to establish and verify bases for legal proceedings. Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law. Act as agent, trustee, guardian, or executor for businesses or individuals. Prepare legal briefs and opinions, and file appeals in state and federal courts of appeal. Arbitrate disputes between parties and assist in the real estate closing process. Qualifications: Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Admitted to practice in the State Bar. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a real estate litigation attorney, with a focus on landlord and tenant disputes. Proven track record of representing clients in housing and supreme court. Extensive knowledge and understanding of NYC housing and condominium laws. Excellent negotiation, research, and communication skills. Ability to interpret and apply laws, court decisions, and other legal authorities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite. High level of professionalism and confidentiality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
