We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server/Bartender with young energy to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment for a small Contemporary American cuisine in Lower East Side. As a Server/Bartender, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, ensuring that guests have an enjoyable dining experience. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere. Ideal candidates will have experience in the food industry, particularly in fine casual environments with social model.
Responsibilities
Greet and seat guests promptly with a warm and friendly demeanor.
Present menus, take orders, and provide recommendations based on guest preferences.
Serve food and beverages efficiently while ensuring accuracy in order delivery.
Upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations throughout the shift.
Handle cash transactions accurately and manage Toast system.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and service.
Adhere to food safety standards and sanitation practices at all times.
Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
Assist with bussing tables and maintaining a tidy restaurant environment.
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences. During the slow day that you will stand alone.
Maintain an organized bar area, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to food safety standards.
Engage with customers to provide a memorable experience, including recommending drinks and answering questions about the menu.
Requirements
Previous experience in food service or restaurant roles is preferred, with fine causal dining experience being a plus.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively.
Familiarity with Toast systems is advantageous.
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations is essential.
Culinary experience or kitchen knowledge is beneficial for understanding menu items.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Experience as a host/host or in guest relations can enhance your candidacy.
