About the Role As a key contributor, you will be at the heart of ensuring product excellence, owning the fit and comfort of garments from initial concept through to final production. Working closely with design teams, you will meticulously analyze and evaluate products, developing precise specifications that uphold rigorous quality standards and design intent. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your technical acumen to shape the tactile experience of products, collaborating with manufacturing partners to bring innovative designs to life with impeccable fit and quality. Key Responsibilities • Execute the technical design process comprehensively, from initial development to final fit approval., • Analyze and evaluate garments to establish and refine accurate fit specifications., • Ensure product development aligns with established fit quality, standards, manufacturer capabilities, and cost specifications., • Develop and communicate detailed technical specifications and fit comments to vendors and factories for approvals and corrections., • Collaborate with manufacturing partners to implement necessary adjustments, safeguarding the integrity of approved designs while monitoring quality and target pricing., • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technical design team members. What You Bring (Must-Have Qualifications) • Proven ability to independently own and conduct fittings., • Skilled in writing detailed fit comments and pattern correction instructions., • Proficiency with industry-standard product lifecycle management (PLM) systems., • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Illustrator., • Exceptional flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment., • Strong problem-solving abilities, capable of navigating complex technical challenges., • A supportive and collaborative team player., • Demonstrated ability to maintain composure and effectiveness in stressful situations. What Will Set You Apart (Nice-to-Have Qualifications) • A portfolio showcasing expertise in technical design, particularly with specific product types beyond general brand names., • Examples of detailed fit comments and tech packs., • Experience in volunteer or community service, demonstrating a commitment beyond professional duties., • Ability to work in-office for critical fit sessions, when required.
