Job Description Client: Retail Title: Marketing Effectiveness Manager Location: New York, New York Duration: ~3 months Hourly Pay Rate: Hourly rate is commensurate with experience and is an estimated range provided by JBC/WG. Schedule: Sun-Thursday (3 days onsite & 2 days wfh) Marketing Effectiveness Manager The Marketing Effectiveness Team enables and empowers the organization with analytic insight and solutions to support planning, tactical execution and optimization of the customer experience. The Marketing Effectiveness Manager is responsible for supporting the Marketing Effectiveness team with reporting and analysis for search, affiliate, email, display, social, online video, and online audio campaigns. This position will utilize data to drive decision making within the marketing organization and particularly assist in interpretation and application of new tools and data sets to drive optimization. What You Will Do • Analyze media performance data (channel, site, audience, and creative) and provide standardized reporting across digital marketing tactics., • Lead the Sunday executive reporting process, collect cross-channel data and insights for the week, collate them, and package them into a weekly insightful report that tells a compelling, data-backed story about how marketing efforts are impacting the business., • Provide strategic recommendations and insights to inform and guide Marketing teams on how best to use Paid and Owned Channels to deliver against business objectives: Search, Affiliate, Email, Display, Social, Online Video and Online Audio., • Develop and implement marketing measurement frameworks: Aid in design, measurement, evaluation, and recommendations of incrementality testing with the goal of optimizing ROI and maximizing omnichannel sales for media tactics., • Partner with media agencies, data science teams, and other internal departments to gather data, provide strategic recommendations, and ensure measurement needs are met (including ensuring accurate data flows into media mix model and multi-touch attribution systems)., • Lead the application of insights to influence marketing strategies that drive measurable growth in online and store sales across strategic marketing initiatives such as Backstage, Loyalty program, etc., • Help develop and automate new dashboards and reports and enhance existing dashboards and reports in Tableau and PowerBI., • Broaden scope of KPIs for marketing channels. Drive optimization based on customer-centric metrics., • Identify business trends and shifts and recommend data-driven responses and recommendations to the Marketing organization., • Consistently apply an omni-channel lens (stores and digital) to analysis and insights., • Stay informed and communicate about industry / competitive marketing trends and best practices., • Ability to lead 1-2 direct reports, aligning their work with overall department goals., • BA/BS Degree in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Statistics, Business, Economics or other quantitative field preferred)., • 5+ years of experience using data to develop business insights and recommendations., • Strong analytical and qualitative abilities: must be able to translate complex marketing data into actionable insights and recommendations for both tactic experts and business leaders., • Deep understanding of media measurement, attribution, and incrementality testing methodologies. Knowledge of data principles, media buying, spend optimization, and marketing technology., • Familiarity with one or more analytics tools (SAS, R, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics) and marketing tools (Google Ads, Meta Ads, DCM, DV360, Rakuten)., • Experience writing complex SQL queries and/or utilizing Tableau and PowerBI for data visualization preferred., • Experience with multiple digital marketing and brand channels, including paid search, social, and display., • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint., • Ability to practice open and continuous communication, keep others informed and effectively present information in a clear, concise manner., • Time management skills and ability to handle multiple projects with competing priorities., • Good leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functional lines and at many levels., • Previous leadership/people management experience., • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs., • PLEASE NOTE: This position is a Sunday-Thursday position and currently requires two days in office (currently Wednesday and Thursday but subject to change based on company needs).
