Job Description We are a small, dynamic law firm located in Queens, New York. With a focus on cooperatives and condominiums, real estate, and landlord-tenant law, we provide comprehensive legal services to landlords and condominium and cooperative boards. We value teamwork, integrity, and professional growth, and we are seeking a skilled and motivated Landlord-Tenant Paralegal to join our dedicated team. As a Landlord-Tenant Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys and assisting clients throughout the legal process of an eviction proceeding. Your responsibilities will include drafting legal documents, managing case files, coordinating with clients and opposing counsel, and providing general administrative support. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of landlord-tenant matters, such as lease agreements, eviction proceedings, lease disputes, and more. Responsibilities: • Prepare and draft legal documents, including leases, notices, complaints, and motions, • Organize and manage case files, ensuring all necessary documents are filed accurately and timely, • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel professionally and effectively, • Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and negotiations, • Schedule and coordinate appointments, meetings, and court appearances, • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in landlord-tenant laws and regulations, • Provide general administrative support, such as answering phone calls, managing correspondence and calendars, and maintaining office supplies, • Qualifications:, • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal in landlord-tenant law, • Sound knowledge of landlord-tenant laws, regulations, and procedures, • Strong written and verbal communication skills, • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, • Attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and case management, • Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment, • Proficiency in using legal software and technology for case management and document preparation, • OK with small dog in office Application Process: If you are a motivated and detail-oriented professional with a passion for landlord-tenant law, we would love to hear from you.
