Position Overview The Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial operations across the organization. This individual owns core accounting processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting, while providing meaningful insights that strengthen revenue performance and leadership decision-making. What Success Looks Like (1218 Months) • Month-end close is completed accurately and on time with minimal rework., • 100% of balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly with full documentation., • Reconciliation and accounting processes are standardized and consistently followed., • Payment and denial trends are clearly analyzed and shared with leadership., • Financial reporting is reliable, consistent, and audit-ready., • Leadership receives accurate, actionable financial insights., • The Controller is freed up to focus on higher-level strategy., • Continuous improvements and automation opportunities are identified and implemented. Key Responsibilities Core Accounting & Reconciliation • Own the monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts (bank, credit cards, AR, AP, payroll, accruals, prepaids, etc.), • Prepare and post journal entries, • Investigate and resolve reconciling items, • Maintain organized reconciliation schedules and documentation, • Collect and analyze payment and denial data, • Identify reimbursement trends, risks, and improvement opportunities, • Provide regular reporting to the CEO, Controller, and Billing Management, • Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules, • Assist with variance analysis and forecasting, • Ensure adherence to GAAP and internal controls, • Maintain audit-ready documentation, • Document and improve accounting SOPs, • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Billing, and leadership, • Month-end close completed by deadline, • 100% monthly balance sheet reconciliations, • Accuracy and timeliness of reporting, • Reduction in unidentified reconciling items, • Reduction in unexplained denials, • Minimal post-close adjustments, • Clean audit findings What You Bring Core Competencies • Strong GAAP knowledge, • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis), • Exceptional attention to detail, • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills, • Organized, deadline-driven, and proactive, • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required), • 35 years of accounting experience (healthcare or revenue cycle experience strongly preferred), • Proven experience with month-end close and reconciliations, • CPA or CPA candidate preferred, • Gets It: You understand accounting fundamentals and how revenue-cycle performance impacts financial health., • WANTS It: You are motivated by building clean, accurate financial systems., • Mission-driven healthcare impact, • High-accountability, high-growth environment, • Opportunity to build and strengthen financial systems, • Leadership access and visibility Apply today and help us change lives.
