Job DescriptionBusiness-to-Business Collections Specialist Location: Clifton, NJ Compensation: $29.00 - $31.00 per hour A well-established organization in Clifton is seeking an experienced B2B Collections Specialist to manage commercial accounts and support timely cash flow. This role is ideal for someone who is confident handling high-volume business accounts, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining strong customer relationships. Key Responsibilities • Manage full-cycle B2B collections for assigned commercial accounts, • Contact customers via phone and email to follow up on past-due invoices, • Review aging reports and prioritize collection efforts to meet cash targets, • Research and resolve billing discrepancies, unapplied cash, short pays, and deductions, • Collaborate with sales, customer service, and accounting teams to resolve issues efficiently, • Maintain accurate collection notes and documentation within the system, • Prepare collection status reports and escalate delinquent accounts when necessary, • Assist with credit reviews and account reconciliations as neededQualifications, • 3+ years of business-to-business collections experience required, • Strong understanding of AR aging, payment terms, and credit policies, • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, • Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, • Proficient with Excel and accounting/ERP systems, • Detail-oriented with a professional and customer-focused approachWhy This Role?, • Stable, in-office opportunity with an established organization, • Competitive salary in the $60-65K range, • Hands-on role with autonomy and visibility, • Collaborative accounting and finance teamBenefit Information: Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and 401K plan.
