Job Description The Whitby Hotel Housekeeping Floor Supervisor Are you passionate about maintaining high standards and creating memorable guest experiences? At The Whitby Hotel, we pride ourselves on exceptional service and attention to detail. We are looking for a dedicated and motivated Housekeeping Floor Supervisor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Head Housekeeper and Deputy Head Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping staff and ensure our beautifully designed rooms and public areas are always maintained to the highest standards. MAIN DUTIES: • Supervise the Room Attendants and Public Area Cleaner in cleaning to the standard required, • Organize the Room Attendants and Porters' daily duties and supervise to ensure maximum output, • Ensure that all Guest complaints are dealt with professionally, promptly, and efficiently, • Carry out daily responsibilities as directed by the Head Housekeeper, • Deal with lost property promptly and efficiently in accordance with the hotel procedure, • Ensure that lost properties are logged in as per standard into Go Concierge platform, • Keep corridors, stairways, and all public/working areas clean and tidy at all times, • Assign special duties to Room Attendants, Public Area Cleaners, and Porters, • Control and supervise the issues of keys and pagers to all the Housekeeping staff daily, • Ensure that maintenance is reported promptly and correctly and that action by the relevant department is followed up, • Ensure that any repairs to soft furnishings are dealt with promptly and followed up on, • Complete all paperwork and records following departmental procedures, • Monitor and update the computer system on the room status, • Reporting of room deviations to the relevant departments, • Flexible schedule REQUIREMENTS: • Previous experience as a Floor Supervisor in a luxury hotel, preferably in NYC, • Ability to mentor and inspire team members, • Exceptional organizational and administrative skills, • Friendly demeanor, • Excellent level of spoken and written English, • Friendly & professional telephone etiquette, • Ability to remain calm under pressure, • Exceptional attention to detail, • Great communication skills Flexibility in hours required based on operational needs.
