This role ensures the delivery of safe, compassionate, and evidence-based oncology care while supporting staff engagement, patient satisfaction, and high-quality clinical outcomes. The Nurse Manager oversees daily operations, resource allocation, patient flow, financial stewardship, and regulatory compliance. This role fosters strong interdisciplinary collaboration, promotes staff development, and maintains a positive, patient-centered clinical environment. Core ResponsibilitiesResources & Support • Lead clinic operations, staffing, scheduling, and resource management for the oncology practice., • Serve as the unit’s chief retention and safety officer, supporting staff and ensuring a safe work environment., • Apply LEAN and quality improvement practices to improve clinic workflow, efficiency, and patient experience., • Oversee onboarding, competency validation, and continued development of oncology nursing staff.Interdisciplinary Teamwork & Collaboration, • Communicate effectively with staff, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams., • Promote a collaborative and culturally respectful workplace by managing conflict constructively., • Build strong relationships across departments to support continuity of oncology care., • Create professional development opportunities and foster team engagement.Exemplary Practice & Outcomes, • Ensure high-quality, evidence-based oncology care across the continuum., • Maintain the highest standards of ethical and professional nursing practice., • Lead performance improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with oncology regulatory and accreditation standards., • Support innovation, change management, and staff competency development.Professional Development, • Develop and manage operational budgets, financial plans, and performance metrics., • Participate in committees, leadership initiatives, and community outreach., • Support ongoing staff education, clinical growth, and leadership development., • Maintain strong understanding of oncology workflows, infusion services, and supportive care needs.Evidence-Based Practice & Quality, • Promote evidence-based practice, oncology research utilization, and data-driven decision-making., • Identify and mitigate risk; ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements., • Support quality audits, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives., • Protect patient and staff data confidentiality through ethical and compliant practices.Required QualificationsEducation, • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — Required, • Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) — PreferredLicensure & Certifications, • Active RN License (Single-State or Multi-State Compact) — Required, • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification — RequiredExperience, • Minimum 2 years of progressive nursing management experience — Required, • Oncology or infusion clinic experience — Highly PreferredSkills, • Excellent communication and leadership abilities, • Strong understanding of oncology care delivery and outpatient workflows, • Ability to coach, mentor, and lead clinical teams, • Expertise in healthcare finance, budgeting, and resource utilization, • Strong knowledge of regulatory, safety, and compliance requirements (e.g., ONS standards, chemotherapy handling) We are dedicated to accelerating growth, creating opportunities, and fostering an environment built on belonging, trust, and mutual respect.
