This is a long-term, relationship-based role focused on life skills, independence, emotional regulation, and personal growth, with opportunities to integrate academic and creative interests. We are a non profit that brings book clubs and writing workshops to incarcerated women at Rikers Island. We are looking for someone to intern with us in exchange for school credit. Your main tasks would be keeping a calendar, answering e mails, scheduling etc. eventually we would love if you could join us at Rikers Island and help host the meetings with us. We are just starting out but we are very passionate about the work we do and ideally we would want someone who also feels passionately about this kind of work.
