Job Description CNBC is seeking a reporter to uncover potential investing ideas through deep data analysis and then create graphics that illustrate the data in a creative and compelling way. This role requires: • Analysis of complex data sets of stock prices, company fundamentals and industry figures to mine for anomalies and changes in trend, • Understanding of company financials, including balance sheets, income statements, and valuation measures, • The reporter should be able to identify changes in the data that may signal a potential shift in a stock or industry’s prospects, • The ideal candidate would know various company filing types (10Ks, 10qs, 13fs, etc.), • The candidate should be proficient in excel and other data mining tools, • The reporter should be able to collaborate with reporters and editors to develop storylines and produce interactive graphics and charts.
