    A regional truck driver's job is to transport goods within a specific region using a commercial vehicle. Their responsibilities include: Driving: Driving a commercial truck to pick up and deliver materials Maintaining the truck: Performing basic maintenance on the truck and ensuring it's in good working order before each trip Keeping records: Maintaining driving logs and recording fuel costs and miles traveled Following rules: Following all company, state, and federal rules and regulations Reporting incidents: Reporting any on-road incidents to a dispatcher Loading and unloading: Loading and unloading freight, depending on union regulations and the job Regional truck drivers usually work shorter routes within a designated area, such as their home state and surrounding states.
