About CodingSTEAM CodingSTEAM is a small STEAM academy that delivers personalised Coding and Robotics sessions to children and teens in partner schools in La Moraleja. We teach in groups of 3-4 students and work with motivated learners. Our sessions are practical, project-based, and focus on progress and confidence building. We are seeking a highly motivated, friendly and dedicated English-speaking mentor to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to apply your academic knowledge in a practical, real-world setting while positively impacting students' lives. This role suits an experienced instructor, but it can also be a great fit if you have strong technical skills and you’re excited to move into education and apply them in a hands-on way. Responsibilities • Lead calm, well-paced Python and Robotics sessions for small groups, • Explain concepts clearly and keep students motivated and on track, • Help students debug their own code in real time, • Run Robotics sessions safely: setup, guidance, basic troubleshooting, tidy-up, • Write short session notes (2 to 3 minutes) to ensure continuous progress Lesson specifics: • Python sessions are taught in a project-based way (from fundamentals through to games, apps, and larger builds), • In Robotics sessions, we use mBot and Edison robots (specific experience with mBot and Edison not required) Required Qualifications • Technical background, ideally with experience in both Python and Robotics, • Strong Python fundamentals and confidence debugging student code live, • Comfortable delivering hands-on robotics sessions with children (training on mBot/Edison provided), • Fluent spoken English, • Reliable availability during regular weekday lunchtime and/or after-school blocks, • Able to provide the required checks for working with minors in Spain (Certificate of Sexual Offences), • Right to work in Spain by your start date (or a clear timeline/status to discuss, we can help you with this)** Preferred Qualifications • Classroom experience, • Proficient spoken Spanish, • Current working rights in Spain** **If you need visa support, we can discuss this case-by-case Benefits • Competitive Salary and Growth Opportunities: We offer an attractive pay package commensurate with your skills and experience.
