At Roche, we do now what patients need next. /p h3The Opportunity /h3 pAre you ready to optimize the sourcing operations for the advanced sensor technologies and external manufacturing networks that make near-patient testing possible? As our Sourcing Manager in Sant Cugat, Spain, you will execute end-to-end tactical procurement within our Near Patient Care (NPC), Sensors Cartridges, and External Manufacturing (EM) portfolios. In this role, you will elevate standard transactional requests into strategic, value‑add opportunities, drive bottom‑line cost savings, and ensure global supply reliability. /p ul liReporting Line: The position directly reports to the Sourcing Lead – NPC, Sensors Cartridges, and EM, and is part of the Procurement Center of Excellence (CoE). /li liWider team and stakeholders: Partners with DOP Category, DOP Delivery, RSS Demand to Pay, global operations stakeholders, and external suppliers/contract manufacturers to resolve administrative bottlenecks and inform future strategies. /li liRole Type: An Individual Contributor role focused on end‑to‑end sourcing execution, master data management, and value creation. /li liImpact: You drive global procurement efficiency, value execution, and compliance across your portfolios. Specifically, you are accountable for: ul liSourcing Execution: Executing global sourcing activities, standard processes (RfIs, RfQs, RfPs), and market benchmarking for on‑market products and New Product Introductions (NPI). /li liDemand Aggregation: Analyzing user requirements to identify value‑driving methods, aggregating global demand to maximize leverage, and escalating non‑standard requests to Category Management. /li liProject Risk Management: Developing comprehensive project plans (timelines, milestones, resources), participating in project teams, and proactively identifying and mitigating risks to objectives. /li liContract Lifecycle: Setting up template‑based contracts (such as CDAs and SOWs) and managing their full lifecycle, repository tracking, and potential renewals or improvements. /li liOperational Excellence: Utilizing enterprise tools (SAP, myBuy) to simplify new and existing workflows, managing purchasing documentation, and ensuring strict compliance with global procurement policies. /li liMetrics CSR: Tracking and delivering on key operational targets and customer service metrics (such as cycle times) while championing supplier diversity, sustainability, and ethical practices. /li liConflict Exposure: Managing process expectations and competing activity priorities, while presenting regular KPI and project updates to the Sourcing Lead and global stakeholders. /li /ul /li /ul h3Who you are /h3 ul liEducation: A University degree (Business or Life Sciences preferred) is required; an MBA or CIPS certification is highly desirable. /li liExperience: 3–5+ years in sourcing, specializing in tactical sourcing (spot buying) and contract management, with a proven track record of driving cost‑reduction initiatives. /li liMarket Expertise: Relevant procurement experience within direct categories in the medical device, healthcare, or high‑tech manufacturing sectors, with hands‑on knowledge or strong exposure to Near Patient Care (NPC) technology, Sensor technology, Cartridge production, or working with External Manufacturers (EM). /li liAI Digitalization: Advanced knowledge in AI application and a strong affinity to explore AI‑driven solutions broadly, particularly regarding the digital transformation of operations (Digital 2.0 / Industry 4.0). /li liSystems Analytics: Strong, hands‑on experience with Enterprise Systems (specifically SAP), Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P) workflows, eSourcing/eAuction platforms, and BI tools like Tableau. /li liMindset Soft Skills: An analytical problem‑solver with a strong customer‑service focus.
