As a member of the CIGUS Network, CITIC provides researchers with state-of-the-art high-performance and specialised computing infrastructures that support the development of projects in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Data Science and Data Engineering, High-Performance Computing, Smart Services and Networks, and Cybersecurity. The Centre also promotes strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening internationalisation, technology transfer and innovation. The Regional Government of Galicia (Xunta de Galicia), through the Regional Ministry of Education, Science, Universities and Vocational Training, has accredited CITIC as a Centre of Excellence and recognised it as a member of the CIGUS Network for the period 2024–2027. These capabilities and this recognition consolidate CITIC as a leading research centre in digital technologies, strengthening the competitiveness of the University of A Coruña and the Galician University System. This call is aimed at recruiting an R&D&I Project Manager (National and International Projects). The successful candidate will be responsible for: • Identifying, analysing and monitoring European and international funding opportunities in the fields of research, innovation, knowledge transfer and technological development., • Preparing and submitting European and international project proposals, including analysing eligibility and call requirements, drafting, structuring and reviewing proposal documentation, and monitoring submission deadlines., • Providing technical, administrative and financial management of international projects and activities, including the processing of project-related expenses, travel arrangements, procurement procedures, associated contracts, and the monitoring of administrative files., • Promoting and strengthening collaboration with universities, research centres, European platforms and other international stakeholders in the field of Research, Development and Innovation (R&D&I)., • Organising and participating in workshops, meetings, study visits, events, Information Days (Info Days) and networking activities aimed at promoting internationalisation and enhancing the Centre's international profile., • Maintaining systems for monitoring funding opportunities, project proposals and funded projects, and preparing reports to support strategic planning and informed decision-making., • Developing and implementing the Centre's internationalisation strategy in line with its strategic objectives, with particular emphasis on attracting competitive funding, participating in international networks and increasing the Centre's international visibility., • Reviewing and improving internal procedures related to the identification of funding opportunities, proposal preparation, and the management and monitoring of international projects. Master's degree in International Relations, International Studies, European Studies or European Union Studies, Law, Political Science, Public Administration, Project Management, or another equivalent or closely related qualification officially recognised in Spain. Additional Information Eligibility criteria Please, click on the following link to access the criteria assessment chart: The funding for this employment contract may be covered, in whole or in part, by any other project or grant assigned to the relevant Research Line, including before the end of the initial funding period, provided that adequate and sufficient funding is available. In accordance with Article 5 of Instruction 2/2025 of 17 March 2025 of the Vice-Rectorate for Research and Knowledge Transfer, regulating the Register of Research and Strategic Research Lines and the recruitment of research staff funded through research lines, the continuation of this open-ended employment contract is subject to the ongoing need for the duties associated with the position and the availability of adequate and sufficient funding within the relevant Research Line. The exhaustion of the funding allocated to the Research Line, or the completion of the technical activities justifying the position without the possibility of redeployment, shall constitute an objective ground for termination of the employment contract, pursuant to Article 52(e) of the Spanish Workers' Statute. Eligibility requirements Given the highly international nature of the position, which involves regular interaction with European institutions, organisations and stakeholders, as well as the drafting, review and submission of technical documentation in English, applicants must hold an official certificate demonstrating a minimum English language proficiency level of C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). This is a mandatory eligibility requirement. Failure to provide evidence of this qualification will result in exclusion from the selection process. All eligibility requirements must be fulfilled by the closing date for the submission of applications. By the application deadline, and throughout the duration of the employment contract, applicants must meet and continue to satisfy the requirements established in Article 8 of the Regulations Governing the Recruitment of Research Staff under Chapter 6 (Research Projects, Grants and Knowledge Transfer Agreements). Merits that are merely declared but not supported by documentary evidence will not be considered by the Selection Committee. • General qualifications: All degrees, diplomas and certificates must be submitted as clearly legible PDF files., • Professional experience: Applicants must provide an up-to-date Employment History Report (Informe de Vida Laboral) issued by the Spanish Social Security authorities, together with copies of the corresponding employment contracts., • Research projects: Only certificates issued by the competent official authority (e.g. the Vice-Rectorate for Research or another body with legal authority to certify such participation) will be accepted., • Language proficiency: Language skills must be supported by an official certificate (e.g. CEFR, Cambridge English, DELE, Official School of Languages (EOI), or another equivalent qualification recognised by the Selection Committee). Important: Certificates or letters issued personally by lecturers, supervisors or Principal Investigators (PIs) of research projects will not be accepted as proof of merits. Selection process The position may remain vacant if no applicant achieves a final score of more than 60 points, including the interview stage. A reserve list will be established with applicants who are not selected by the Selection Committee. This reserve list may be used in the event that the selected candidate declines the offer or if the employment contract is terminated. It may also be used for future recruitment processes involving positions with the same duties and requirements.
