ABOUT US Licht Kunst Licht (LKL) is a world-leading, multi award-winning architectural lighting design studio with offices in Bonn, Berlin, Bangalore and the LKL Design Hub in Barcelona. With more than 1,000 realized projects worldwide, we collaborate with internationally renowned architects and developers on high-end projects that demand precision, clarity, and creativity. Our broad lighting project portfolio ranges from various categories like museums, offices and retail to masterplans. Today, we are a passionate and international team of around 60 designers and engineers. As our Barcelona studio continues to grow, we are looking for a curious, motivated and experienced Senior Lighting Designer who is ready to join our team. ABOUT YOU - University degree (Diploma / Bachelor / Master), preferably in lighting design, architecture, engineering or a related field - Minimum 8 years of professional experience in architectural lighting design - Proven experience working on international projects and with international architectural practices - Strong design sensibility combined with solid technical knowledge across all project phases - Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence in client-facing situations - Commitment and joy in team-oriented collaboration within interdisciplinary project teams, including mentoring junior colleagues - Fluent in Spanish and English; Catalan and/or German are an advantage - Strong organisational skills and a structured, detail-oriented way of working - Very good knowledge of DIAlux, AutoCAD, Rhino, BIM, Adobe CC (InDesign, Photoshop) and MS Office YOUR TASKS - Lead and deliver lighting design projects independently from concept to completion - Develop compelling lighting design concepts that enhance the architectural vision and spatial experience - Present lighting strategies and design concepts to architects, clients and project stakeholders - Collaborate closely with architects, engineers and consultants to integrate lighting into the overall design - Represent the office in project meetings and design workshops - Manage project timelines, deliverables and budgets while ensuring high design quality - Coordinate project tasks and guide team members, including supporting junior designers - Prepare construction documentation including BIM and CAD drawings, lighting calculations, detail drawings, specifications, cost estimates, control schedules and project reports - Coordinate with manufacturers regarding luminaires, mock-ups and technical solutions - Support project delivery during tender and construction phases, including site coordination and design review WHAT WE OFFER - Exciting and globally recognized projects in collaboration with renowned international architects and developers - Travel opportunities for project work as well as company events, trade fairs and conferences - Opportunities for professional growth and development - A sunny office with a beautiful terrace in the heart of Poblenou, Barcelona - Flat hierarchies and short decision-making processes - A collaborative and design-focused studio culture with a strong team spirit and last but not least a lot of fun APPLY AT:
