Location: Madrid, Spain. This role is fully integrated within Santander CIB's broader European Technology franchise and is responsible for high‑profile strategic M&A, equity capital markets, and other corporate finance transactions for leading technology clients. • Develop differentiated insights on technology sector dynamics, including valuation trends, capital flows, strategic and sponsor activity, public market performance, disruptive business models, and emerging subsectors., • Prepare and quality‑control senior‑level client materials such as pitch books, strategic reviews, management presentations, information memoranda, board materials, investor presentations, and internal approval documents., • Build and review complex financial models and valuation analyses, including operating models, DCFs, trading comparables, precedent transactions, merger models, accretion/dilution analyses, sensitivities, and scenario‑based valuation frameworks., • Own execution workstreams across M&A, strategic advisory, and equity‑led processes, driving timelines, due diligence, and stakeholder coordination across clients, advisors, and internal teams., • Mentor and manage analysts and interns, setting execution standards, reviewing outputs, and fostering a high‑performance, collaborative team culture., • At least 4 years of investment‑banking experience in M&A / Corporate Finance advisory at a leading investment bank, global financial institution, elite boutique, or top‑tier advisory platform., • Demonstrated execution experience, leading workstreams, managing parallel deliverables, and maintaining high quality under demanding timelines., • Experience in preparing and reviewing senior‑quality client materials, transaction documentation, and internal committee materials, with strong attention to detail and judgment., • Previous exposure and deal execution experience in software, fintech, digital infrastructure, or tech‑enabled services is a plus. Candidates with broader M&A experience and a clear interest in the technology sector are also considered., • Strong stakeholder management skills, including comfort interacting with clients, advisors, investors, and cross‑border internal teams., • Ability to operate autonomously while contributing to a collaborative, team‑first environment., • Undergraduate degree with a strong academic track record., • Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or other quantitative backgrounds are especially relevant, although not required., • Additional postgraduate qualifications, CFA progress, or technical training in financial modelling are valued., • Fluency in English (written and oral) – required., • Additional languages are a plus., • Advanced financial modelling and valuation skills, with a solid understanding of accounting, corporate finance, and transaction structuring.
