Based at the Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca, the Help Waiter / Waitress is responsible for supporting the outlet team in carrying out all operational tasks and functions under the supervision of managers and supervisors. You will assist in the efficient service of food and beverages, ensure the smooth running of operations, and contribute to creating a welcoming and memorable experience for every guest. Responsibilities • Understand the outlet concept and food and beverage offerings, and assist in explaining them to guests when required., • Support the preparation and maintenance of the mise en place for each shift, including cleaning, polishing, and organizing equipment to ensure efficient service., • Deliver friendly, courteous, and efficient service, responding promptly to guests’ needs and requests., • Assist with up-selling services and products to enhance the guest experience and contribute to revenue generation., • Ensure that food and beverages are served in accordance with hotel and Food & Beverage standards., • Handle and maintain outlet equipment, utensils, and stock appropriately, carrying out any additional assigned duties as required., • Support the collection, organization, and replenishment of stock items, including linen, beverages, and other supplies., • Communicate guests’ preferences, allergies, or special requests to management and the kitchen team to ensure a personalized and safe service experience. Experience and Education • Previous experience in food and beverage service roles is preferred, although not essential., • Experience in luxury environments or within high-standard hospitality settings will be considered an advantage., • Knowledge of restaurant operations and service protocols is desirable. Technical Skills • Communicate clearly and courteously with team members to ensure smooth operations., • Be attentive to guests’ needs by observing their body language and responding appropriately., • Maintain a friendly, approachable, and professional attitude at all times., • Deliver efficient and accurate service in line with outlet standards., • Comply with all basic health, hygiene, and safety regulations related to food and beverage service.
